Burnt by the sun, built on rice. A comic strip about a Bangladeshi family living in Florida: the traffic stops, the Publix runs, the hurricane prep that starts three weeks early, and the phone calls to Dhaka at the wrong hour.

The strip

New strips post here first and go out to Facebook after. Every one is bilingual: the setup usually lands in English, the punchline in Bangla, or the other way round when it's funnier. 2 strips so far.

The Florida guide is a directory of halal restaurants, masjids, desi groceries and family spots across the state. Prayer times and weather cover five Florida cities and Dhaka. BDFLO Wave is a synthetic radio station of original tracks.
